Holiday Season is fast approaching and though this festive season seems far removed from the end of financial year and accounting matters, there are still many issues we need to heed at this time of the year.

Our Office will be closed from Thursday 17th December 2009 , reopening Monday 11th January 2010.  During that time please email any questions to us as they will generally be monitored during this period.

For all of you who have not yet lodged your 2009 Tax Return - The holiday break would be the perfect time to gather all the relevant documentation together and submit it to us. This is a great way to ensure that your tax return is lodged on time and avoid late payment penalties from the ATO.

We are concentrating on getting all work (excluding superannuation funds) received into the office prior to 1 December 2009 completed before Christmas and as such will be accepting new work, clients and meetings in 2010.  Given we are catching up on work, and upgrading internal systems including our phone system you may experience difficulties in contacting us until after 11 January 2010 when our office resumes normal operation.

To all our clients, and business associates we appreciate your continued patience during this growth phase in our business.  We wish you all a very safe and Merry Christmas and look forward to many more successes in the new year 2010, the year of the tiger!

Best wishes

Nathan Morris and the Team at Morris Accounting
