Its tax time 2009!
June 22, 2009 4AM
Happy end of financial year!! How quickly the years come around, and just when most of you have done your 2008 tax return, now its time for the 2009 return! Now that its the final weeks of the 2009 financial year, some clients are already receiving their last pay slips and their 2009 payment summaries.
Morris Accounting already have the 2009 tax software installed and ready to go, so we are ready for your 2009 tax return information.
Click here to download your 2009 tax return checklist. We've updated this for some of the changes this year including the Education tax offset for families that have children at school. Checkout www.ato.gov.au for more info on the offset and eligible expenses.
The ATO have already made a media release stating that their staff have halved, which will result in delays of processing returns and of course later payments. In response to this we have decided that to expediate client refunds we will limit the number of refunds we will process into our account, and offer a discount for upfront payment.
A 20% discount will be eligible for quoted prices if accepted. And for those who would rather wait for an invoice, a 10% discount will apply for payments within 7 days of invoice. A reminder that we do have EFTPOS facilities. Unlike other accountants in the area, we have kept our existing prices from our schedule of fees issued in Sept 2008.
The easiest way to get your information to us is to email it through to info@morrisaccounting.com.au Alternatively you can post the info in, and a reminder that if we looked after you last year it isnt necessary to book a meeting with us.
Looking forward to assisting you with your 2009 tax!
